BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Agents have made an arrest in a shooting investigation that injured a Merritt Island man Tuesday night at the Tropical Manor Apartments.

Agents with GAMEOVER Task Force arrested Antonio Scott, 27, from Palm Bay, for a shooting that occurred Tuesday night in Merritt Island.

According to BCSO, they received 9-1-1 calls around 9:52 p.m. on Tuesday about a shooting that had just happened at the Tropical Manor Apartments, located at 1165 Jordan Road in Merritt Island.

Authorities say when deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered that two apartments and one vehicle had been shot into during the incident.

As deputies arrived at the apartment complex they found out a victim, identified as 28-year-old Michael Green Jr. from Merritt Island, had been dropped off at a nearby fire station with a gunshot wound after claiming to have been shot at the Tropical Manor Apartments.

The man was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment where his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

Agents from the BCSO East Precinct General Crimes Unit, along with members of the BCSO Crime Scene Unit, responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

Through their investigative efforts, agents were able to positively identify Antonio Scott as the person who had shot the victim and authored a warrant for Scott’s arrest.

Scott has been charged with attempted first degree murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is currently being held at the Brevard County Detention Center with no bond.
