Eastern Florida State College’s Soccer, Volleyball Teams Open Preseason Camp

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College soccer and volleyball teams opened the 2018-19 preseason on Wednesday.
The fall season officially opened and teams wasted no time beginning the preseason camp as the women’s soccer team ran fitness drills at 6 a.m. and the volleyball team was already hitting balls at 9 a.m.
The women’s soccer team hit the field in the afternoon for a scrimmage while the men’s soccer team got some fitness testing done in Titan Field House.
The volleyball team will open the regular season on Aug. 22 against Indian River State College at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus. The match will begin at 6 p.m. and admission is free.
The women’s soccer team will open the regular season that weekend as they will face two teams that finished the 2017-18 season ranked in the top 15, hosting Laramie County Community College, who made it to the national tournament, in the home opener on Aug. 24.
Daytona State College will play Johnson County in the first game of the doubleheader Aug. 24 with the Titans and Golden Eagles squaring off at 8 p.m.
Then on Aug. 26, Laramie County Community College will play Daytona State College at 4 p.m. and the Titans will play Johnson County Community College at 6 p.m.
The men’s soccer team will open the regular season in Baltimore, Maryland Aug. 25-26 against Harford Community College and then the host CCBC Essex who was No. 19 in the nation last season.
The home opener for the men will also be the conference opener on Sept. 6 against Broward College.
