BCSO bids farewell to longtime member Corporal (Cpl.) Al Wells who retired from their agency with over 23 years of service to the BCSO team and community.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Earlier this week, our agency said farewell to longtime member Corporal (Cpl.) Al Wells who retired from our agency with over 23 years of service to our team and community.

Without question Al has been a shining star for our agency as a member of our Court Services Team and our Honor Guard.

Throughout his time as the leader of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, Cpl. Wells and his team have brought honor, dignity and pride to thousands of ceremonies and services such as funerals, flag presentations and various events honoring our military heroes and veterans.

While we are truly excited for Al and his family as they enter the next chapter of their lives, it is a melancholy feeling as we hate seeing him leave our agency where he has been such a tremendous part of our lives and success!!

Please join me in congratulating Al and his family on his recent retirement and incredible career!

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
