WATCH: Adam Pollack is running for Circuit Judge in Group 24 of the 18th Judicial Circuit, which includes all of Brevard and Seminole counties. An attorney since 1996 and a board-certified criminal trial attorney since 2009, Pollack came to this decision after being involved in more than 75 jury trials and upholding the constitutional rights of more than 1,000 clients. He also spent almost two years as an assistant public defender in the 18th Circuit of Florida and was a senior advisor to the judges of the 18th Judicial Circuit in Seminole County. Pollack is not accepting campaign contributions and is self-funding his campaign with an investment of $150,000. The election for Circuit Judge takes place on August 28 and is non-partisan.

By Adam Pollack

Judges need to be credible, competent and compassionate. I have over 21 years of diverse experiences. These experiences are both ones within the legal field and living within our community.

I have prayed with clients and their families for justice to prevail. I know what it is like for a parent to be reunited with children that they thought were wrongfully taken away from them by the other parent.

I have seen the wonderful transformation that a person experiences when they get the right legal help and are able to turn their lives around. I have life experiences that make me a legitimate person to be a well-qualified judge.

My competency in the courtroom is not just something I believe in, it is something that the Florida Bar believes in. I am a board-certified criminal trial attorney. I know my way around a courtroom. My years of trial experience are exactly what a judge needs in order to conduct an efficient and fair trial.

My compassion for my fellow human being is evidenced every time I take up the cause of a client. This compassion is not a blind pursuit of justice. Rather, even when pressing my client’s legal cause, I am mindful of the fact that the other participants in the legal process deserve my respect and professionalism.

My ability to passionately follow the law and respect the fact that the legislature, and not a judge, makes the laws are exactly what is required of a skilled judge serving this community. I am a person who exemplifies credibility, competency and compassion both in and outside of the courtroom.

SELF FUNDED CAMPAIGN

I don’t want to look into the courtroom and see someone who has given me money to get this position. It’s just not right or fair to the opposing counsel. By making this investment, the community should have full faith in my integrity when presiding over cases.

Every person is constitutionally allowed to present the best defense when accused of a criminal act. I always try to approach judges, opposing counsel, police officers and civilian witnesses with respect and dignity because I know that anything less tarnishes our legal system.

Despite my legal and ethical duty to do my best for my client, I strive to remember that often times I am dealing with adults and their children who are going through a very sad and angry time in their lives. As a judge, this perspective will allow me to provide a fair trial to everyone who comes before me in the courtroom.

As a Floridian since the age of 6, I have lived in Seminole County since 1997 and am a dedicated husband to my wife Jacqueline of 18 years, and to our two boys, ages 15 and 10.

I am the distinguished choice to be your next judge and respectfully ask for your vote on or before August 28.
