Lober Will Cut Wasteful Spending and Prioritize the Indian River Lagoon and Related Infrastructure

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Bryan Lober, a Republican candidate for the Brevard County Commission District 2, talks about his inspection of the Indian River Lagoon and outlined the comparisons between him and his opponent, including his full support of public safety.

“I am running for the Brevard County Commission and self-funding my campaign because I feel it is my duty to step forward and serve, and I do not want to be beholden to any special interests,” said Lober.

“When I saw the lack of a true conservative in the race, I decided to run, so that we can help fix the lagoon, where my opponent has failed during his 8 years on the commission. Brevardians can’t afford to allow the lagoon to deteriorate any further, we need to and will restore its beauty.”

Lober has put his own money where his mouth is.

“I have spent almost $100,000 of my own money to get the word out to the people, so that they may understand who I am and what I stand for,” said Lober.

“I have not, and will not, accept any campaign contributions for my candidacy and if I am chosen by the voters, I will not be beholden to any special interests and I will able to be 100 percent dedicated to governing the county in a true conservative fashion.”

Lober has received the endorsement of the Trump Club of Brevard. 

“The Trump Club of Brevard unanimously and strongly endorses Rockledge resident Bryan A. Lober for District 2 County Commission,” said the Trump Club of Brevard in its endorsement.

Lober is a small business owner, lifetime NRA member, supports term limits and is self-financing his campaign and believes that Brevard can remain competitive through the right policies.

“As a successful small business owner, Bryan has proved that he is the candidate who understands the necessity to invest in Brevard County’s infrastructure and policies that promote economic development,” said the Trump Club of Brevard. “Bryan is endorsed for his pro-jobs commitment and support of moving Brevard in the right direction.”

The Trump Club of Brevard listed the following points in issuing its endorsement:

• Lober is self-funding his campaign
• Lober lives in the District in which he is running
• Lober owns his home outright and has never been the subject of a foreclosure proceeding
• Lober is a successful small business owner and understands the needs of local businesses
• Lober openly supports our duly elected President
• Lober’s fiscal policies are in line with those of conservatives
• Lober participated in the Trump Club’s candidate forum where his opponent did not even have the courtesy to respond to numerous invites to the forum.
• These factors and others contributed to the officers unanimously voting to endorse Bryan Lober over his opponent in the District 2 election. The Trump Club of Brevard did not reach a unanimous consensus on the other races.

Lober has also received the endorsement of Brevard County Clerk of the Court Scott Ellis.

The political newcomer is a conservative’s conservative who is not afraid of disrupting the status quo if it benefits his constituency. He brings to the table negotiating finesse honed through his years of practicing law.

Couple that experience with a sincere passion for Brevard and the result is not your ordinary candidate.

“As an attorney and mediator, I am trained and experienced in building bridges and I’ve brought together parties who have seemingly inflexible positions,” he said.

“I’ve decided to enter this race as I believe that District 2 constituents deserve to have a qualified candidate who will not simply be a yes-person and rubber stamp the endeavors of other commissioners.

“I’ve never previously sought elected public office and I will be self-funding my campaign for District 2 County Commission and, consequently, there is no possibility of my being beholden to anyone in exchange for their financial support.

Lober is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law and is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell. He has taught subjects ranging from Criminal Litigation to Business Law at Seminole State College’s ABA Approved Paralegal Education Program.

“District 2 constituents deserve to be represented by someone who is fiscally conservative and will ensure that county funds are not gratuitously spent and that taxes aren’t raised unless the need is genuine and extenuating and there exist no meaningful alternatives,” said Lober.

Should he win the post of commissioner, he plans to scale back his law practice to roughly 10 hours per so that he will have a job to return to after serving District 2 as Commissioner.

“Being a County Commissioner is not a part-time job or a hobby. It pays a full-time salary and it demands full-time work,” he said.

Brevard County’s District 2 includes Merritt Island, Port Canaveral, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Avon by the Sea, Rockledge, Kennedy Space Center, Snug Harbor and Patrick Air Force Base.

The 2018 Primary Election will be held on August 28 and the 2018 General Election will be held on November 6.
