City of Cape Canaveral to Host Space Coast Beach and Kite Festival Sept. 15 at Cherie Down Park

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The City of Cape Canaveral will be hosting its 4th Annual Space Coast Beach and Kite Festival on Saturday, September 15 at Cherie Down Park, located on 8330 Ridgewood Avenue, in Cape Canaveral.
This free, family-friendly event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will be held in conjunction with the International Coastal Clean-up, a beach clean-up effort hosted by Keep Brevard Beautiful.
The first 200 kids will receive a free kite to decorate and families with children 12 and under are invited to take part in the Children’s Sand Sculpture Contest.
A1A Beach Rentals and the Lokahi Outrigger club will be on-site showcasing a variety of exciting beach activities and volunteers from the BCSO Police Athletic League will be selling food and refreshments.
