Police Investigating Traffic Crash In Which Jeremy Scott Smith, 27, of Titusville Was Killed On Labor Day

FATAL traffic crash remains under investigation
BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Titusville Police Department is investigating a traffic crash that resulted in the death of a local man on Labor Day.
According to Titusville Police Public Information Officer Amy Matthews, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Monday, officers responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving two vehicles at the intersection of South Street (State Road 405) and Cheney Highway (State Road 50).
“The preliminary investigation revealed that Arthur Claude Davis II, 57, of Titusville, was driving a 2002 Jeep Cherokee traveling westbound on Cheney Highway,” said Mathews.
“Davis ran the red light at the intersection and struck a 2009 Kia Forte traveling northbound on South Street, driven by Alexis Chloe Roberge, 22, and passenger, Jeremy Scott Smith, 27, both of Titusville.”
Smith was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased. Roberge was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Davis was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
This traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department and further details will be released upon its conclusion by traffic crash investigators.
