Titusville Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect after officers responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving a bicyclist and a vehicle.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect after officers responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving a bicyclist and a vehicle.

The police investigation has revealed that on Wednesday at around 3:45 p.m., an adult female bicyclist was traveling southbound on Hopkins Ave. when she was struck by a vehicle that was turning into the entrance of the Cumberland Farms convenience store, located at 3505 South Hopkins Ave.

Witnesses say the driver of the vehicle stopped, exited the vehicle, approached the injured bicyclist, but quickly got back into the vehicle and fled the scene heading westbound on Country Club Drive then northbound on South Hopkins Avenue.

Witnesses also described the suspect as a white male, thin build with a goatee, between 20-30 years of age and driving a newer model blue car with a white or beige soft top.

The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash remains an ongoing traffic crash investigation.
