Speeding Pickup Truck Strikes House In Port St. John After Crashing Into Vehicle In Oncoming Lane On Fay Blvd.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded to an incident that involved a pickup truck crashing into a home and vehicle Saturday morning on Fay Boulevard in Port St. John. 

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to an incident that involved a pickup truck crashing into a home and vehicle Saturday morning on Fay Boulevard in Port St. John. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol investigation, 71-year-old James John Braun was speeding in his 2016 Nissan Frontier westbound on Fay Blvd., when he lost control of his vehicle, veered across the grass median and into oncoming traffic traveling eastbound on Fay Blvd.

As a result, Braun’s vehicle collided into a 2017 Honda Civic driven by 26-year-old Jessica Leigh Parrish.

After the collision, Braun’s vehicle continued traveling onto the private property of 4085 Fay Blvd., striking a garage door, a vehicle parked in the garage, and wall of the house.

Parrish, and residents inside the house, were not injured.

Braun was transported to Parrish Medical Center with minor injuries.

FHP is still investigating the crash and charges are pending against Braun.
