BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police responded to a report on Tuesday about a occupied residential armed burglary that quickly led to the arrest of 29-year-old Bubba Edward Holmes suspected in the connection of multiple crimes throughout Titusville.

The investigation has revealed that around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, a resident at the Windover Oaks Apartments reported to police that while he was in the shower, a man broke a window, entered into his home and stole two handguns, along with an assault rifle, according to police.

Police arrested Holmes around 9:15 a.m. after officers found him hiding in near an area north of Windover Oaks Apartments.

Holmes has been charged with two counts of armed burglary, four counts of grand theft of a firearm, grand theft and criminal use of personal identification. (BCSO Image)

“The two stolen handguns and assault rifle were located near Holmes and recovered by police,” said a Titusville Police spokesperson.

The victim was not injured.

After questioning by detectives, Holmes was linked to another local armed burglary and a separate fraud crime.

Holmes has been charged with two counts of armed burglary, four counts of grand theft of a firearm, grand theft and criminal use of personal identification.

Holmes is currently in the Brevard County Jail without bond.
