Two-Vehicle Crash On Babcock St. Involving Melbourne Police Patrol Car, Two Injured

Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating two-vehicle crash in Melbourne that involved a Melbourne Police patrol car Thursday night at Babcock St. and Florida Ave.
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating two-vehicle crash in Melbourne that involved a Melbourne Police patrol car Thursday night at Babcock St. and Florida Ave.
The female officer has been identified as 24-year-old Taylor White from Melbourne. White suffered serious injuries and was transported to Holmes Regional.
The driver of the other vehicle has been identified as 18-year-old Jacob Crowe. Crowe suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.
According to the investigation FHP, Crowe was driving northbound on Babcock St. when he attempted to make a left turn onto Florida Ave.
Officer White was traveling southbound on Babcock St. when she collided into Crowe’s 2011 Mazda.
FHP is still investigating the incident.
