WATCH: SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Telstar 18 VANTAGE from Cape Canaveral early Monday morning.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Telstar 18 VANTAGE from Cape Canaveral early Monday morning at 12:45 a.m.

The Telstar 18 VANTAGE communications satellite was delivered to geostationary transfer orbit.

The satellite will provide broadcast, enterprise and government communications services over parts of India, China, Mongolia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Ocean region, according to SpaceFlight Now.

SpaceX landed and recovered the first stage booster via its Atlantic drone ship, “Of Course I Still Love You.”

The mission was originally set for July but was delayed several times.
