Climbing competitors from throughout Southeastern USA will gather on the Space Coast DEC. 8 as Adventure HQ hosts the 2018 Regional USA Climbing Bouldering Competition. “We couldn’t be more excited to host this year’s Southeast Regional Bouldering Competition,” said Frankie Pawley, owner of Adventure HQ.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM SHORES, FLORIDA — Climbing competitors from throughout Southeastern USA will soon gather on the Space Coast as Adventure HQ hosts the 2018 Regional USA Climbing Bouldering Competition.

The event, scheduled for December 8, will feature some of the top competitors in the Southeast as they battle it out for a chance to move on to the divisional competition in Charlotte, NC, in January 2019, and ultimately to Nationals in Oregon in early February.

As bouldering is set to make its Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020, could Adventure HQ play host to future Olympic athletes in this December competition?

“We couldn’t be more excited to host this year’s Southeast Regional Bouldering Competition,” said Frankie Pawley, owner of Adventure HQ.

“The competition will see around 300 youth competitors climb six routes, with four minutes allotted to each route, and a 15 second transition time between routes.”

Unlike local bouldering competitions, competitors at this level will be in “isolation” until they are called to climb.

“Being in our second year of business, it is an honor to be selected out of the vast many brilliant and well-established bouldering gyms in the Southeast region,” said Pawley.

“The talent of these young climbers is inspiring and we hope a competition like this will raise awareness of bouldering as a sport here in Brevard County.”

The USAC Bouldering Competition is open for the public to watch at no charge.

Adventure HQ is the most action-packed center on the Space Coast and a place where climbers, families, friends and businesses can get together to enjoy unique, world-class facilities.

ADVENTURE HQ A HUB FOR THE COMMUNITY

Opened in June 2017, Adventure HQ is a family-owned business, located at 5270 N. US Hwy. 1 in Palm Shores, Florida.

“Adventure HQ is a hub for the community, a place to push boundaries, overcome challenges and hang with friends. Teamwork, Passion and Discovery are just a few of our core values,” said Pawley.

It is the most action-packed center on the Space Coast. Adventure HQ is a place where climbers, families, friends and businesses can get together to enjoy unique, world-class facilities.

In addition to its 5,000 square feet of bouldering walls, Adventure HQ is home to more than 20 themed and interactive auto-belayed climbing walls, open to ages 3 and older.

A three-lane raised Ninja Warrior Course runs adjacent to the climbing walls in an area known as the Adventure Zone. The Ninja Warrior Course is open to participants age 7 and older.
