Brevard County Sheriff’s Agents Arrest Tyler Olson in Connection With Recent String of Satellite Beach Burglaries

Olson Confesses, Jailed with total bond of $55,500.00

Tyler Olson confessed to stealing two bicycles and a Spectrum Surfboard. Tyler also advised that he had stolen a carton of cigarettes and a Pedego Electric Bicycle during the thefts.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA– Recently Agents from our Brevard County Sheriff’s Office South Precinct General Crimes Unit conducted several investigations regarding burglaries which occurred at the Ocean Sands Condominiums and East Horizon Condominium Complex.

As a result of the investigation, Agents learned that a dark blue 3G Beach Cruiser Bicycle (valued at $450), a Trek Madone 5.5 Bicycle (valued at $7,000) and a Spectrum Surfboard (valued at $275) were stolen during the burglaries.

based on video surveillance and photographic evidence from the case during the investigation, Tyler Olson was identified as a potential suspect.

South Precinct Agents Samantha Grimes and Thomas Walter subsequently conducted an interview with Tyler Olson who confessed to stealing both bicycles and the Spectrum Surfboard. Tyler also advised that he had stolen a carton of cigarettes and a Pedego Electric Bicycle during the thefts.

Further investigation revealed that the Satellite Beach Police Department was conducting an investigation relating to a Pedego Electric Bicycle.

Olson was ultimately arrested and transported to the Brevard County Jail with a total bond of $55,500.00 for four counts of Burglary, four counts Grand Theft, two counts Dealing in Stolen Property, one count Possession of Burglary Tools, and one count of Criminal Mischief.

Agents Grimes and Walter were able to recover the Trek Madone 5.5 bicycle which was returned to the victim. Satellite Beach Police Department is working to recover the Pedego Electric Bicycle and the whereabouts of the Spectrum Surfboard and Beach Cruiser Bicycle are still unknown.

This case is a perfect example of just how hard our team works each and every day to protect our citizens and of how Law Enforcement working together solves crimes.
