Cocoa Man Found Dead In Indian River Near Hubert Humphrey Causeway, Identity Released

Zachary Stickle, 19, found dead in Indian River

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Authorities from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and Cocoa Police Department have released the identity of the human body found on Monday in the Indian River near the Hubert Humphrey Causeway.
The person is identified as 19-year-old Zachary Stickle from Cocoa.
Investigators say BCSO and Cocoa Police were alerted about a human remains found near the Hubert Humphrey Causeway, according to a release by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
BCSO units and Cocoa Police Marine Vessels searched the area and the Sheriff’s Office Dive Team found the body of Stickle.
Investigators say there were no obvious signs of trauma or foul play. Stickle was in possession of his personal property and valuables.
The investigation is ongoing and an autopsy is expected to be conducted today by the Brevard County Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death.
