Dave Jennings Passes Away Sept. 17, Was Star Multisport Star Athlete at MCC in 1970s

Dave Jennings passed away September 17, 2018, in Reading, Pennsylvania with his daughter by his side. He was a 1971 graduate of Melbourne Central Catholic High School, where he excelled in multiple sports and was later inducted into MCC’s Sports Walk of Fame.

Dave Jennings passed away September 17, 2018, in Reading, Pennsylvania with his daughter by his side.

Dave was born May 12, 1953, and was raised in Columbus, Ohio. He moved with his family to Indialantic while in high school.

He was a 1971 graduate of Melbourne Central Catholic High School, where he excelled in multiple sports and was later inducted into MCC’s Sports Walk of Fame.

Dave attended Florida Tech on a basketball scholarship before joining the Navy and continued college at Wilkes University in Pennsylvania on the GI Bill.

He is survived by his daughter Christine and grandson Dominic of Reading, PA; his mother, Elizabeth Anne Jennings of Palm Bay, Florida; his eight siblings, Donna, Peggy, Beth, Kevin, Michelle, Mary, Jane and Phyllis; 19 nieces and nephews; and 27 great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends held a Celebration of Life service in Reading, PA and said our farewells.

Dave will be remembered in a 10:30 a.m. Catholic Mass at the MCC gymnasium on Nov 1. Rest peacefully, Dave.
