That’s a wrap for September. This year will go into the books as the warmest and driest September on record in Melbourne and other Central Florida cities Daytona and Sanford.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – That’s a wrap for September. This year will go into the books as the warmest and driest September on record in Melbourne and other Central Florida cities Daytona and Sanford.

This week’s forecast calls for highs in the high 80s, lows in the mid 70s.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 91. East northeast wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. East wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Wednesday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. East northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. East wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
