Brevard County Mosquito Control Will Spray Areas of Titusville, Merritt Island and Mims Thursday Night

Spraying will begin one hour after sunset

Brevard County Mosquito Control officials announced that there will be a spray on Thursday night. Spraying will begin one hour after sunset. Areas to be sprayed by truck include portions of Mims, Titusville and the Great Outdoors area. Portions of Port St. John and North Merritt Island will be sprayed by air.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Mosquito Control officials announced that there will be a spray on Thursday night. 

Spraying will begin one hour after sunset. Areas to be sprayed by truck include portions of Mims, Titusville and the Great Outdoors area. Portions of Port St. John and North Merritt Island will be sprayed by air.

The Brevard County Information Technology department partnered with the Natural Resources department to develop a mapping application that displays where Mosquito Control is scheduled to spray next, and what method of spraying they will use.

Citizens can zoom into exact locations they are interested in and find out the last time it was sprayed or when it is scheduled next.

The Mosquito Control GIS Map and Schedule replaces the old spray map and schedule system and is available to citizens on their desktop computer or mobile devices.
