Eastern Florida State Squares Off Against No. 1 Northwest Florida State College

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team will head north to compete in the Florida JUCO Shootout at the College of Central Florida this weekend.

The Titans, who are 10-3 this season, will play Northwest Florida State College who is the No. 1 ranked team in the country at 6 p.m. on Saturday evening. It will be the third top 10 team that Eastern Florida State College will face in the past three weeks. The two teams are 2-2 over the past five years but the Titans have won the past two meetings.

“What an opportunity tomorrow holds,” Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman said. “Playing against not only the number one team in the country, but a team some have called the best JUCO team of the past 15 years! It’s an outstanding opportunity. I know we will do the best we can and lay it all on the line.”

On Sunday afternoon, the Titans will play Broward College for the second time this season. The teams met at The Jim Grimes Classic with the Titans picking up the 87-76 victory. The Titans have won the past 14 meetings against Broward.

It will be the final two games before the holiday break for the men’s basketball team who will host the Josh Artis Memorial Classic Dec. 30-Jan. 2 at Titan Field House.
