SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Taylor Made Therapies hosted a Grand Re-Opening of their new facility located at 6520 3rd Street in Rockledge. Space Coast Daily’s Gina Liberto talked with owner and therapist Angie Taylor about “Taylor Made Therapies” and all of the services she and her great staff offers.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Established in 2012, Taylor Made Therapies, formerly Speech Path of Brevard, owner Angie Taylor quickly realized that families need comprehensive therapy services at one location to improve ease of access to a multidisciplinary therapeutic team.

“Starting out as primarily offering Speech/Language services, “Speech Path” was the perfect name, but I soon realized that a name change was needed to reflect the multidisciplinary team-based approach to individualized care,” said Taylor.

“With a commitment to offering the strongest that will best meet your evidenced-based practice and treatment “Taylored” to each family, Taylor Made Therapies was the right fit. TMT is devoted to strong collaboration with parents and patients’ medical care team.”

As a former Special Education teacher, Taylor Made Therapies Owner Angie Taylor offers a diverse background in special populations with an exceptional emphasis on educating caregivers.

Taylor held a Grand Re-Opening and Open House at 6520 3rd Street in Rockledge to showcase Taylor Made Therapies’ brand new facility, including a state of the art sensory-motor gym, a large kitchen for feeding therapy and cooking activities, and a sensory room with bubble tubes and aromatherapy.

“Since 2012 you have known us as Speech Path of Brevard but really we are so much more,” said Taylor.

“Same owner, same great team…simply a new name to reflect our multi-disciplinary therapies. We offer Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy with prompt appointments, convenient scheduling and an awesome collaborative effort for therapeutic gains. Great things are on the horizon and we want to celebrate with you,” said Taylor.

To celebrate Speech Path of Brevard’s name change to Taylor Made Therapies, a Grand Re-Opening and Open House was held at 6520 3rd Street in Rockledge.

ESTABLISHED ON PRINCIPLES OF FAMILY, QUALITY OF LIFE

Founded in 2012, Taylor Made Therapies started as a clinic for children and adults. Seeing a need for multiple therapies and appreciating the collaborative approach to improve therapy outcomes, the clinic expanded in the summer of 2013 to include Physical and Occupational therapy services.

Established on basic principles of family and quality of life, it is Taylor Made Therapies’ mission to help Brevard’s youth.

MEET THE TAYLOR MADE THERAPIES STAFF

Angie Taylor – Speech Therapist, M.A. CCC-SLP/Owner

Angie Taylor is the proud mom of Jackson and Zachary and wife of Brandon Taylor, Air Force Reservist/ Government civilian. The daughter of a 29 year Marine Corps Veteran, she spent much of her life at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina before relocating to Florida in 1999.

As a former Special Education teacher, she offers a diverse background in special populations with an exceptional emphasis on educating caregivers. Angie also recognizes how difficult it can be to coordinate care with multiple players and has structured her business to meet the needs of local families.

Angie’s experience includes recent work in a hospital-based setting, home health, skilled nursing facilities, and schools. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of East Carolina University and the University of Central Florida. Angie is also a recipient of multiple Awards for Continuing Education (ACE) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In her free time, you can find Angie cheering her boys on a baseball or football field.

Angie’s specialty areas of treatment include Pediatric feeding/swallowing, Cognitive linguistic disorders, Traumatic Brain injury, Early Intervention, and speech/language therapy across the lifespan.

Angie’s certifications include: TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissues Specialty Training, Sequential Oral Sensory (S.O.S.) Approach to Feeding, Vital Stim (adults) and Beckman Oral Motor Protocol. She has received multiple awards for Continuing Education from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.

Kally Kibler – Speech Therapist, M.S. CCC-SLP

Kally Kibler is a nationally and State of Florida licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and her Master’s of Science from Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, Florida. Kally’s clinical expertise evolved from time in the following settings: private practice at AbilityPlus Therapy, hospitals at Kindred Hospital, and schools at Suntree Elementary.

In 2016, Kally became a full-time associate of this office. She has experience with PROMPT therapy. In addition, she specializes in the following areas:

Christina Conte-Speech Therapist, M.S. CCC-SLP

Christina Conte is a nationally and State of Florida licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida and her Master’s of Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida (2003).

Her clinical expertise evolved from time in the following settings: USF Speech-Language and Hearing Center, private practice at the Center for Bilingual Speech-Language Disorders, skilled nursing at Wave Crest Health and Rehab Center, schools serving the infant and toddler population at Christa McAuliffe Elementary as lead teacher serving PreK students in a speech-language impaired classroom, at United Cerebral Palsy in Kissimmee, Orlando, and at Space Coast Early Steps.

In September 2016, Christina became a contract associate of this office. She has experience with the pediatric and geriatric populations, coaching parents, and with positive parenting techniques.

She specializes in the following areas:

Stefanie Elledge is a nationally and State of Florida licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Arts from Utah State in Logan, Utah and her Master’s of Science from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. Stefanie’s clinical expertise evolved from time in the following settings: Early intervention, home health, schools and private practice.

In 2017, Stefanie became a full-time associate of this office. She has experience with PROMPT therapy.

Cecile Hue Streeter, M.A. PT

Cecile Hue Streeter is one of SPB’s most diversified therapists, joining our team in 2013. She was born in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to Brevard County from New York in 2004. Since graduating from New York University in 1985 with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and in 1992 from NYU with her Master of Arts specializing in Developmental Disabilities, she has over 30 years of diverse experience in pediatric and adult neurological Physical Therapy.

In addition to providing services at SPB, Cecile is a full-time Physical Therapist for Brevard Public Schools providing school-based educationally relevant services for children ages 3-22 years old with varied diagnoses.

In addition, Cecile has completed additional training/ certifications in the following areas:

Noelle Phillips, M.S. PT

Noelle Phillips is a Florida licensed physical therapist who has been living in Central Florida and the Space Coast for over 20 years. She attended the College of Charleston in her hometown of Charleston, S.C., but later graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor in Psychology and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy.

Her pediatric background combines a variety of pediatric therapy experiences from her working in the following different settings including inpatient at a pediatric hospital, an outpatient clinic, the school setting and a home setting, which requires the therapist to be very creative and animated with the pediatric population.

Her continuing education has a compelling emphasis in pediatrics with her attending additional workshops and seminars in NDT (neuro-developmental technique), DAFO Cascades bracing workshop, Myofascial Release, Pediatric Therapeutic Yoga class, Thera-Suit in the Universal Exercise Unit and the DIR (Developmental Individual-differences Relationship-Based Model) also known as Floortime approach.

In 2017, she became a contracted associate with this office.

Previously she was a dolphin trainer at the Living Seas in EPCOT at Walt Disney World. Noelle enjoys spending time with her tween and teen daughters as well as her husband.

Colby Revers-Occupational Therapist, M.S. OTR/L

Colby is a Brevard County native who is nationally and State of Florida licensed as a certified Occupational Therapist Registered and Licensed. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science (2011) and Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (2014) from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is

Colby completed her level 2 fieldwork experiences at SPOT Therapy Associates (Late Spring 2014), and Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging and Rehabilitation (Early Spring 2014). Colby joined the SPB Team in 2018 after gaining several years’ experience from a multi-disciplinary clinic in the Fort Myers, Florida area.

Maria Zinna- Speech Therapist, M.A. CCC-SLP

Maria Zinna is a nationally and State of Florida licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida and her Master’s of Arts from UCF in Orlando, Florida.

Maria’s clinical expertise evolved from time in the following settings: UCF Speech-Language and Hearing Center, private practice at Grace Therapies, skilled nursing facilities at Consulate Health Care, hospitals at Kindred Hospital, and schools at Bridges Academy and Discovery Elementary. Maria treats both children and adults.

In 2017, Maria became a full-time associate of this office.

Courtney Brady is a nationally certified and State of Florida licensed Occupational Therapist Registered. She was awarded her Bachelor of Health Science with a Minor in Disabilities in Society (2015) and her Master’s of Occupational Therapy (2016) from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Go Gators!

Courtney completed one of her level two fieldwork experiences at University of Florida Health Shands on the Neurology and Neurosurgery floors in May 2016. She completed her second level two fieldwork experience at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas on the inpatient rehabilitation floor. She also completed a specialty fieldwork at Sensory Solutions, LLC in Sarasota, Florida. She worked for a year at an in-patient rehabilitation facility before joining our team!

Kristen MacLeod is a nationally and State of Florida licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts in Communication Disorders in 2009, and her Master’s of Science from the University of the District of Columbia in Speech-Language Pathology in 2017.

Kristen also holds a Master’s degree in Education, concentration Special Education from George Mason University in 2015. Kristen’s expertise evolved from her five years of work experience as a Speech-Language Assistant in the largest public school system in Virginia, and her extensive clinical work in private practices around Washington D.C., where her focus lied in pediatric and school-age children communication disorders and early intervention.

In 2017, Kristen became a full-time associate of this office.

Aggie Coles – Office Manager

Aggie joined Taylor Made Therapies in February 2012 as the office manager. Her work scheduling appointments, contacting insurance companies, billing and running day-to-day operations in the office make her an important part of the team.

She recently relocated to the Melbourne area from Tennessee to join family members who are long-time residents of Brevard. She is the proud mom of Thomas, Nicki and Jimmy. In her free time, Aggie enjoys watching sports.
