National Weather Service Forecast Calls For Strong Storms Sunday, Temperature Drop Next Week

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service has issued a statement for strong to possibly severe storms on Sunday.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed east central Florida in a Marginal Risk of severe weather for Sunday, December 9. Be sure to stay weather aware during the day Sunday.
HERE’S THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORECAST:
Sunday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. West southwest wind around 10 mph.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42. West northwest wind around 10 mph.
Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 60. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46. North northwest wind around 10 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 68. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. Northeast wind around 5 mph.
Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 73. East wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
