Severe Thunderstorm Warning Expires For Merritt Island, Rockledge and Cocoa

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Cape Canaveral, Merritt Island, Cocoa and Rockledge on Thursday until 3:30 P.M. ET.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Cape Canaveral, Merritt Island, Cocoa and Rockledge on Thursday until 3:30 P.M. ET.

The storm could bring winds up to 60 mph and penny sized hail, according to meteorologists with NWS.

Officials advise citizens to find shelter during the storm and take cover.
