BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College baseball team has released the 2019 schedule with Opening Day slated for Jan. 25 on the road.

The Titans will travel to South Florida State College for the season opener and then will travel to Hillsborough Community College and Polk State College before the home opener Jan. 29 against Seminole State College.

The Titans will have 26 home games this season at Bruce Bochy Field on the Melbourne campus.

“This year’s schedule will be a tough test right out of the gate for our guys with five games in the first six days,” Eastern Florida State College baseball coach Jason Arnold said.

“And our conference is always so competitive leaving no real cushion in the schedule anywhere. It should be a fun and challenging season.”

The team will open the Southern Conference schedule on February 20 at Bruce Bochy Field against Miami Dade College.

Miami Dade and Broward College each finished with 18 wins in the conference last season and both advanced to the FCSAA State Baseball Tournament. Palm Beach State and Indian River State College are also in the conference.

Arnold takes over after the team finished fourth in the conference with 10 wins last season, missing the state tournament for the first time in four seasons. This year’s state tournament will be May 10-15 in Lakeland.

Admission is free to games at Bruce Bochy Field which is located on the Melbourne campus of Eastern Florida State College.
