CLEARWATER, FLORIDA (Eastern Florida) – Caitlin Meyer hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Eastern Florida State College softball team past Polk State College 11-9 at the JUCO Kickoff in Clearwater on Saturday.

Freshman Madison Neuhaus hit one a ball off the fence to tie the game 9-9 and then Meyer stepped up to the plate and ended the game with her first home run of the season.

Eastern Florida State College lost to Gulf Coast State College in the first game of the day when freshman Katelyn Wilfert hit a ball that looked like it would be a home run to tie the game but the outfielder caught it, falling over the fence to end the game and give Gulf Coast a 2-1 win.

The Titans are now 2-2 overall and will play two games on Sunday, facing St. Petersburg and St. Johns River in the final day of the JUCO Kickoff.
