BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Suzanne Sherman has been hired as the City of Palm Bay Deputy City Manager and began her duties January 3.
Sherman, a former employee of the City of Palm Bay, was initially hired in January 2006 as a Budget Management Analyst. She then held the positions of Risk Manager and Business Operations Division Manager.
She also previously worked in the Palm Bay City Manager’s Office, where she served as Assistant to the City Manager until 2015 when she was hired as the Deputy City Manager for the City of Satellite Beach.
She earned her Certified Public Manager designation in 2012.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to work for the City of Palm Bay once again,” said Sherman.
“We have many opportunities ahead of us to accomplish amazing things. It is indeed a privilege to be a part of the team that will work together to serve our great community.”
Sherman is active in several professional organizations including the Florida City and County Management Association, the Space Coast Public Management Association and the Florida League of Cities.
“I am so pleased to bring Suzanne back to Palm Bay. She is a resident of Palm Bay and has great knowledge of our residents’ needs,” said City Manager Lisa Morrell.
“I am confident that she possesses the leadership qualities necessary to collaborate among department heads, employees, and community partners.”
