BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – We want JetBlue! We want Allegiant!
What efforts are being made to land new airlines at Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB)?
What airlines are they contacting, and what’s in store for our hometown airport?
That and other questions will be addressed in a few days at MLB’s first Air Service Development Public Workshop beginning at 6 p.m., Wednesday, February 27 at the Hilton Rialto.
Industry experts, airport staff and authority members will be on hand for an update on the airport’s chances for new airline service.
An overview of the industry will be presented and questions will be encouraged from the audience.

Who should attend?
“We’re hoping that everyone interested in airline service to and from MLB will attend,” said Greg Donovan, A.A.E., airport executive director.
“Not only will some important questions be answered,” said Donovan,” but the mystery of airline route decisions will be explained in detail by one of the most respected industry spokesmen in the nation.”
And what about the tough questions? Donovan said he looks forward to a candid exchange between constituents and experts.
“We will be forthcoming with information and responses. This community could make a difference in our ability to attract and retain air service. This workshop is an important step in that important direction.”
Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Refreshments will be served.
Space Coast Daily will be broadcasting live from the event. If you would like to submit a question in advance of the event, you may email it to Authority@MLBair.com and will be answered as time allows.
