BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 37-year-old Jonathan Lee Wright of Merritt Island for the death of 59-year-old Duane Crozier, according to a release by BCSO.

Authorities say Wright was arrested after a warrant was issued charging him with Manslaughter, Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Violation of Probation.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began shortly after 2 a.m. on December 1, 2018, when deputies responded to a residence in the area of Fountain Palm Road in unincorporated Cocoa, in reference to an unresponsive male who was pronounced deceased.

“The investigation has revealed that Wright went to the residence on the afternoon of December 1, 2018, where he sold the victim an amount of heroin,” said Tod Goodyear of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

“It was determined that Wright had previously sold Crozier drugs on multiple occasions.”

“During the evening of December 1, 2018, the victim used the heroin, which resulted in his death,” said Goodyear.
