Merritt Island, Satellite Playoff Victories Sets Up State Regional Semifinal at Merritt Island On Friday

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Merritt Island cruised to a 9-0 victory over Poinciana on Tuesday night from Merritt Island Stadium.

The slaughter rule was enacted after Merritt Island (16-4-1) scored 9 goals in the first half, eliminating the need for a second half.

After Satellite’s 3-2 overtime win over Lake Wales (17-1-2) on Tuesday, the regional semifinal will feature Satellite (10-3-5) visiting Merritt Island on Friday at 7 p.m. for a trip to the regional final.

Tuesday night’s Merritt Island game was broadcasted live on Space Coast Daily TV with Roger Malone and Giles Malone on the call.

Space Coast Daily TV will once again provide live coverage of Friday’s game between the Scorpions and Mustangs.
