Space Coast Tarheels of the Florida Champion Football League Kicks Off Season Feb. 9

Florida Champion Football League is organization of 20 adult amateur league football teams

The Space Coast Tarheels, a member of the Florida Champion Football League, will kick off its 2019 regular season on Saturday, February 9 as the team takes on the Pampano Beach Outlaws. Space Coast Daily TV will Live stream the Tarheels season-opener on SpaceCoastDaily.com and Space Coast Daily’s Facebook page.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Tarheels, a member of the Florida Champion Football League, will kick off its 2019 regular season on Saturday, February 9 as the team takes on the Pampano Beach Outlaws.

The Tarheels will play all its home games at Astronaut High School, located at 800 War Eagle Boulevard in Titusville. Kick off is at 7 p.m.

Space Coast Daily TV will Live stream the Tarheels season-opener on SpaceCoastDaily.com and Space Coast Daily’s Facebook page.

The Florida Champion Football League is a non-profit organization of 20 adult amateur American minor league football teams.

The Tarheels posted a 4-1 record in preseason action.

“We are about to enter our regular season and our team has so many talented and dedicated players that we are excited to showcase during our regular season,” said Tarheels head coach Mark Lewis.

“The owners, staff and team would like to publicly thank the Florida Championship Football League for letting our team compete in this league. We would also like to thank all of our sponsors and all of our fans.”

Tarheel team owners Roger Lewis and Matt Parsons, with the help of their staff, are molding the future of the Space Coast Tarheels and plan to have a successful 2019 season.

“We are very dedicated to making this organization successful and we look forward to everything that is to come to our team,” said Lewis.

The Tarheels will host a Tailgate Party on Feb. 9 before the game when they take on the Outlaws in the season opener.

“You’ll have an opportunity to meet and greet players and staff and there will be food and fun for the family – along with Valentine’s Day raffles and a 50/50 drawing. We also have bounce houses, face painting, free haircuts for kids and a lot more,” said Parsons.

The festivities start at 3 p.m. and goes until kick off at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the game are $7, age 10 and up, and $3 for age 9 and under if you purchase tickets at the gate at game time. If you purchase tickets during the Tailgate Party, admission is $5, age 10 and up, and free for age 9 and under.

The 2019 Tarheelschedule includes the Outlaws on Feb. 9 (home), Cougars on Feb. 16 (away), Reapers on Feb. 23 (home), Phantoms on March 2 (away), Rise on March 9 (away), Chiefs on March 16 (away), Barracudas on March 23 (home), Stampede on March 3 (home), Bulls on April 6 (away) and Soldiers on April 13 (home).
