Brevard County Fire Rescue Mourns Loss of Firefighter-EMT William Tyler Moore

Brevard County Fire Rescue announced the passing of Firefighter-EMT William Tyler Moore on Thursday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue announced the passing of Firefighter-EMT William Tyler Moore on Thursday.

BCFR says Moore was hospitalized on March 10 after suffering a serious medical condition at home while off-duty.

He died Thursday at 3:15 p.m.

“We (BCFR) would like to recognize the extraordinary efforts of our Communications Center personnel, Engine 42/Rescue 43 c-shift crew, BCSO, the hospital and administrative staff of Health First Cape Canaveral Hospital throughout this difficult and challenging ordeal,” said a spokesperson with Brevard County Fire Rescue.

“Over 200 fire department personnel and hospital staff lined the hallways and said their goodbyes as Firefighter Moore and his family passed by as part of the hospitals “Honor Walk” this afternoon.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Moore family.”

Moore served the citizens of Brevard County for over 25 years in public service.

His last assignment was at Station 40-B on North Merritt Island.
