EFSC Titans Softball Outscores Opponents 23-7 in Two Home Wins, Move to 11-11 on Season

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College softball team won a pair of games Tuesday evening at the Titan Softball Complex.

The Titans, who are tied for 10th in the latest NJCAA Region VIII poll, won both games in six innings as they defeated Lincoln Trail College 13-5 in the first game and then defeated Sinclair Community College 10-2 in the second game.

Eastern Florida State College sent 15 hitters to the plate in the bottom of the first inning, scoring 10 runs highlighted by Alice Gannaway’s two-run double. Hannah Crumbish and Nikki Pennington each scored twice in the first inning as the Titans had eight hits in the first.

The Titans added a run in the second, fourth and Abigail Thompson’s RBI double in the sixth ended the game.

Pennington finished 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBI while Emily Bartlett, Madison Neuhaus, Olivia Everett and Katia Zavala each had two hits.

Victoria Perez picked up the win with three shutout innings.

In Game 2, Hailey Profeta got the Titans on the board with an RB single and Emily Bartlett had a two-run single in the second inning as the Titans took an early 5-0 lead.

The Titans would add three runs in the fourth highlighted by Katelyn Wilfert’s two-run double.

Jaidyn Ahl finished with three hits including the walk-off double in the sixth inning.

Wilfert picked up the win, allowing two runs in six strong innings, striking out five.

The Titans will be back at Titan Softball Complex Thursday for a match with No. 11-ranked College of Central Florida.

The first game begins at 4 p.m. and admission is free.
