BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Gov. Ron DeSantis received the highest approval rating among voters for a Florida governor on Wednesday, according to the latest Quinnipiac University poll.
The poll shows 59-percent of voters approve of DeSantis’ job as governor versus 17-percent who disapprove. The result is the highest approval rating for a Sunshine State governor in 10 years.
When asked how things are going so far since DeSantis took over for Rick Scott, 67-percent of Florida voters are ‘very satisfied’ or ‘somewhat satisfied’ which ties the highest satisfaction rate since the independent Quinnipiac University Poll first asked the question in 2004.
In addition, 71-percent of voters say Florida’s economy is “excellent” or “good,” the highest level ever for this measure, while 27-percent say the economy is “not so good” or “poor.”
