Beach Rental and Food Services Concessionaire Sought for Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Brevard County Parks and Recreation Central Area Parks Operations is seeking a beach rental and food services concessionaire to operate at Lori Wilson Park, located at 1500 North Atlantic Avenue in Cocoa Beach.
The food services concessionaire would offer food items for sale to the general public such as snack, drinks, hot dogs, burgers, pizza and/or other similar concession items.
The beach rental concessionaire would offer rental items for the general public such as beach umbrellas, beach chairs, surfboards, and/or other similar rental items.
Lori Wilson Park is open to patrons from dawn to dusk seven days a week.
If you would like to be considered you must submit the following:
• A written introduction about and your business with all details of your operation. Include photos of your operations, equipment, vehicles and products.
• Copy of your menu/rental items with pricing and intended hours of operations.
• Copy of current occupational state and county business licenses, health department permits, insurance certificate and Florida driver’s license.
• Florida Department of Revenue DR-11 and DR-13.

A contract will be awarded based on the following criteria: the variety of menu items/rental items cost of items, proposed financial arrangement, current valid licenses, certificates and permits, flexibility and dependability in meeting public demand, and the completeness of the written introduction.
Water, sewage, and electricity will not be provided by Brevard County Parks and Recreation. You must also include a statement that you will be able to operate at this location without the use of Styrofoam products.
The desired financial arrangement is a flat rate per month payable to Brevard County Parks and Recreation Central Area Parks Operations and will be agreed upon before a concessionaire is officially approved.
Monthly payments will be due on the first business day of every month. Applicants must provide Parks and Recreation with their own written proposal for the monthly rate as a starting point of discussion.
A copy of a current insurance certificate will be required when the bid is awarded naming Brevard County Board of County Commissioners as additional insured.
The concessionaire and all employees/volunteers will be subject to a high-level background check per Brevard County AO-05, Background Investigation Checks.
All responses must be received at Central Area Parks Operations by close of business on Friday, May 10, and include all the required documentation named above.
– Certain items that are difficult to clean or remove or may cause injury are not acceptable such as gum, sunflower seeds, and glass container items.
