Cocoa Beach Police, Brevard Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit Investigate Tip of Buried Body

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Cocoa Beach police and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit on Wednesday began actively investigating a tip of a possible buried body in the yard of a residence located at 382 Woodland Avenue.

“Throughout the day, law enforcement personnel excavated the backyard of the home, however, no human remains were found,” said Sgt. Manny Hernandez, Cocoa Beach Police Police Public Information Officer.

Sgt. Hernandez said this investigation will remain active and ongoing and Cocoa Beach police personnel will continue to follow up on any leads related to the tip.
