BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I want to personally thank the almost 600 Motorcycle Riders and their passengers who took part in today’s “17th Annual Brevard Law Ride” that started at the Police Hall of Fame in Titusville.

The “Law Ride” event brings together Law Enforcement Officers and citizens from around the state of Florida in an annual Motorcycle Ride through the Kennedy Space Center to help raise funds for Children of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), the Police Hall of Fame, and the families of Law Enforcement Officers from Central Florida who are killed or badly injured in the line of duty.

This year’s ride was host to almost 600 motorcycles and their passengers who all enjoyed great weather, a great ride through the Kennedy Space Center, great food, great music, and great fellowship while helping a great cause!!

I want to personally thank everyone who attended today’s ride, Sgt. Alan Rainey and his wife Debbie for their leadership in coordinating this annual event, all of our BCSO volunteers who make this event possible, our vendors, our Ag/Marine Unit for the great Bar-B-Que, our BCSO Honor Guard for presenting the colors, Chaplain Jon Nienhuis for our Invocation, and of course the BCSO Motor Unit and the Motor Units from our surrounding partner agencies who made sure we were all safe during today’s ride!
