BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former State Senate President Mike Haridopolos and State Representative Randy Fine, R-Palm Bay, were on Fox 35 WOFL and Facebook Live discussing the Indian River Lagoon, educational issues and Fine’s anti-semitism bill.

Fine made an inspired closing speech before his raw sewage bill passed unanimously last month before the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.

“I’m angry, and you should be too,” said Fine.

HB 141 would require a written notice to be sent to residents by mail every time there’s a spill, and the note would provide the names and phone numbers of the authorities responsible for the plant’s oversight.

“There is no issue more important to the future of Brevard County than restoring the Indian River Lagoon, and I want to share some statistics,” Fine told the Agriculture and Natural Resources Subcommittee.

Fine also introduced HB 741 last month, which would create a legal definition of anti-Semitism and require that all educational institutions in Florida treat anti-Semitism in an identical fashion as racism.

Haridopolos served as President of the Florida Senate from 2010-2012 and also served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000-2003.
