Detective Kenny Nelsen of the Titusville Police Department Honored as Employee of the Month

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Detective Kenny Nelsen of the Titusville Police Department was honored as the City of Titusville’s Employee of the Month.

Nelson was presented the honor from Titusville City Manager, Scott Larese and Titusville Mayor Walt Johnson on May 28 during the City Council’s Special Recognitions meeting at City Hall.

Nelson is a seven-year veteran of the Titusville Police Department, and city officials said that he is one of the department’s finest and is an excellent representative of his chosen profession.

Nelsen was recognized for his extraordinary crime enforcement efforts as a Titusville Police Detective and a Brevard County Sheriff’s Game Over Taskforce Agent, especially two cases involving shootings in which individuals were critically injured, and two cases were sexual batteries involving violent convicted felons.

He was instrumental in the arrests of these four suspects.

“The Titusville Police Department is truly grateful for his dedication, and this award is a public “Thank You” to Detective Kenny Nelsen for his tireless work ethic, and his willingness to always go above and beyond,” said City of Titusville officials.
