Horace Mann Honors Brevard Public Schools’ Finest During Teacher Appreciation Week

Celebrating its selection as the newest approved 403(b) provider, Horace Mann paid tribute to educators in Brevard Public Schools by funding $10,000, which BPS Superintendent Dr. Mark Mullins, center, accepted.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Celebrating its selection as the newest approved 403(b) provider, Horace Mann paid tribute to educators in Brevard Public Schools by funding $10,000 in DonorsChoose.org projects.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, the company funded 33 total projects, including every project in the district’s highest poverty schools, impacting more than 1,800 students.

Throughout the week, the team from Horace Mann hosted events across the district, providing 28 school lunches and 20 snack events that served over 3,000 BPS employees.

“We know as educators Brevard employees have one of the most important jobs there is – shaping our children’s future,” said Matthew Steiner, Steiner Insurance & Financial Services, Horace Mann’s local representative.

“We appreciate all they do and are proud to honor their tireless work by helping out with classroom needs, while we introduce ourselves and offer assistance in planning for their futures.”
