Titusville Man Wanted For Hit-and-Run Crash On Monday Arrested In Cocoa

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A Titusville man was arrested on Thursday after he was wanted for a hit-and-run crash in Titusville on May 20.

A large manhunt began when it was discovered the suspect was armed with a rifle when he fled the hit-and-run.

A few days later, police say 30-year-old Joshua Lee Baker was taken into custody Thursday morning when he tried to flee officers in Cocoa during a traffic stop.

After Cocoa Police contacted the Titusville Police Department of Baker’s arrest, Titusville Detectives interviewed him and added charges from their agency involving the shotgun that he was carrying when fled the crash scene in Titusville.

Baker has been charged with the following: Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon; Possession Ammo by Convicted Felon; Possession of Ecstacy; Driving While License Suspended; Leaving the Scene of a Crash; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
