LPGA Amateurs Brevard Team Dominates Semi-Finals in South and Central Florida

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA– The Space Coast Chapter of LPGA Amateurs recently competed in the semi-finals for Central Florida and South Florida at Hammock Bay Golf Resort in Naples, Florida.
109 golfers played for the 12 spots advancing to the LPGA Amateurs National Championship in Palm Springs, California in October.
In an incredible achievement, the Space Coast Chapter won 8 of those spots.
The winning Scramble Team consisted of Carolyn Hough, Darien Lawrence, Martha Scholz & Anne Lume.
Our Top Gross/Net winners in their Flights – Stroke Play were Rosemary Nelson, Dawn Lafferty, Ivette Gomez and Melody Buller.
The Space Coast LPGA Amateurs Chapter will be looking for donors and will host a fund-raiser to help defray the costs to our winners.
The LPGA Amateur Golf Association is open to all skill sets and offers monthly outings, league play and educational clinics as well as lessons for women to learn golf and improve their game.
