Melbourne Police Searching for Suspect After 22-Year-Old Shot Wednesday Evening

Melbourne police are searching for a shooting suspect after being called Wednesday evening to The Park at Via Terrossa Apartments, located at 1245 Palm Bay Road, regarding a disturbance.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police are searching for a shooting suspect after being called Wednesday evening to The Park at Via Terrossa Apartments, located at 1245 Palm Bay Road, regarding a disturbance.

“Witnesses called to report an argument between occupants of vehicles in the parking lot of the apartment complex,” said Melbourne Police Lt. Trevor Shaffer.

“During that time a gunshot was heard and a male victim fell to the ground. At that time a blue Sports Utility Vehicle fled from the location.”

Lt. Shaffer said the victim, a 22-year-old male, was taken to a local medical facility for treatment.

“This incident was not a random act, it was isolated to the parties involved,” said Lt. Lt. Shaffer.
