Nine People Rescued From Boat Overturned In the Water Near Sebastian Inlet Jetty

All people rescued refused treatment

Brevard County Fire Rescue personnel assisted with the rescue of 9 people that were in a compromised vessel in the water near the Sebastian Inlet jetty on Thursday afternoon. 

BREVARD COUNTY • SEBASTIAN INLET, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue personnel assisted with the rescue of 9 people that were in a compromised vessel in the water near the Sebastian Inlet jetty on Thursday afternoon.

According to Brevard County Fire Rescue Chief Mark Schollmeyer, three private vessels aided in bringing people that were in the vessel to shore.

All of the people rescued refused treatment to the hospital.

Personnel from the Florida Parks Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Brevard County Sheriff’s Office all were on scene responding to the incident, Schollmeyer added.
