LITTLE LEAGUE ACTION: THE FRIDAY NIGHT LOCKER ROOM ON SPACE COAST DAILY TV

SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Little League play-by-play action continued Friday as  West Melbourne defeated Viera 7-4 in the 8-9-10 District 2 Little League Championship game at Rodes Park in Melbourne. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Little League play-by-play action continued Friday as  West Melbourne defeated Viera 7-4 in the 8-9-10 District 2 Little League Championship game at Rodes Park in Melbourne.

Orville Susong and Steve Wilson of the Friday Night Locker Room were on the call on Space Coast Daily TV and you can watch the replay above.

INDIAN RIVER CITY 12, ROCKLEDGE 2

In District 22 Little League 8/9/10 Baseball All-Stars Tournament action on Friday night at W. W. James Park in Titusville, Rockledge took on Indian River City.

IRC took an early lead on three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Connor Ketterer, Jesse Decter and Ryland Nicholiasen all walked and scored.

Rockledge cut into the lead in the top of the second on an RBI single by V. J. Roland but IRC would extend their lead in the bottom half on an RBI single by Ethan Lynskey.

Rockledge plated a run in the third when Matt Bremer drew a bases-loaded walk.

IRC would answer in their half of the inning with a run of their own on an RBI groundout by Ian Jarvis. This would put IRC ahead 6-2 at the halfway mark.

IRC would put the game out of reach in the fourth and fifth innings. Jesse Decter pushed in two runs in the fourth with a double and then drove in the final run in the fifth with a sacrifice fly to make the final score 12-2 for IRC.

Benjamin Pastor and Ethan Lynskey pitched for IRC giving up only two runs and striking out nine Rockledge batters.
