Port Canaveral Lock Gates To Be Closed By Army Corps of Engineers December 1- March 30

Army Corps of Engineers announced on Friday their plans to close the Port Canaveral lock gates from December 1- March 30 for routine maintenance.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Army Corps of Engineers announced on Friday their plans to close the Port Canaveral lock gates from December 1- March 30 for routine maintenance.

The maintenance includes overdue repairs and maintenance on the sector gates, gate machinery, pintles, gudgeons and bushings at the lock.

According to Port Canaveral Commissioner Robyn Hattaway, it has been over 10 years the last time maintenance was carried out.
