Tropical Depression 3 Forms Over Bahamas, Will Bring Rain to Space Coast

SPACE COAST DAILY TV TROPICAL STORM UPDATE: The National Hurricane Center has started issuing advisories on Tropical Depression 3 in the Bahamas as of Monday afternoon. The system will bring rain to Brevard County.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Hurricane Center has started issuing advisories on Tropical Depression 3 in the Bahamas as of Monday afternoon.

According to the National Hurricane Center, as of 5 p.m. Monday, the depression is moving northwest at about 13 mph.

A turn toward the north-northwest is expected Monday night, followed by a turn toward the north and north-northeast on Tuesday and Tuesday night off the Brevard County coast.

On the forecast track, the center of the depression should remain just offshore of the east coast of Florida over the next day with maximum sustained winds near 30 mph, with higher gusts.

No significant increase in strength is anticipated by the National Hurricane Center, and the depression is forecast to dissipate by Wednesday.
