City of Palm Bay To Host Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony For New Playground at West Oaks Park

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly-constructed playground at West Oaks Park on Friday, August 2 at 8 a.m.

West Oaks Park is located at 1161 Lamplighter Dr. NW, in Palm Bay.

The old playground at the park was removed last year due to deteriorating conditions.

That playground was for ages 2 through 5 and included two small slides and a crawl-through tube. The new playground is for children ages 2 through 12 and includes two slides, a rock climber, timbers to balance on, vertical climbers, a climbing wall, and a new swing set featuring two adult and two infant swings.

The new playground at West Oaks Park is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
