Hall of Fame Coach Dan Diesel Returns To Coaching as Assistant Coach at Space Coast, Will Coach With His Son

ABOVE VIDEO: During his 33-year career at Titusville, Dan Diesel has coached and advocated for a wide range of sports, from football and wrestling to golf and bowling. He coached seven different sports and no fewer than two sports a year for 25 years.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Space Coast Sports Hall of Famer Dan Diesel is returning to coaching as an assistant coach at Space Coast High School after making the announcement on Monday.

This time, Dan will be coaching under his son Matt Diesel who is set to enter his second year as head coach of the Space Coast Vipers.

“I’m helping my son coach the kids at Space Coast as I want to continue to assist the student athletes of our community,” said Dan Diesel, speaking with Space Coast Daily.

Dan brings an extinguished resume with coaching experience across seven sports over a 25-year career and being named a Space Coast Sports Hall of Famer in 2016.

The Titusville High grad enjoyed a 33-year career at Titusville, where he coached and advocated for a wide range of sports, from football and wrestling to golf and bowling.

Dan will assist his son who helped lead the Vipers to 6-4 season last year.

The Vipers open the season on August 23 at Central (Fort Pierce) then host Melbourne in the week 2 home opener.
