BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking Emergency Communications Dispatchers. All candidates will receive a $2,500 hiring bonus after employment.

We offer a competitive starting rate of $15.85 per hour with a starting pay rate up to $17.84 per hour for prior experience. Check out our salary step plan.

Our Emergency Dispatchers perform a critical role within our emergency response team. They answer emergency calls for service, dispatch appropriate first responders, take control of often chaotic situations, and maintain communications with all parties during emergency situations.

This position is exciting and rewarding, however, it can be heart-wrenching and stressful. The right candidate for the job is someone who is very organized, adept at multi-tasking, level-headed and trustworthy.
