BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Space Coast Daily Meteorologist Chris Bonanno looks at Brevard’s Friday weather and discusses tropical activity in the Gulf of Mexico.
The National Hurricane Center has issued advisories on Tropical Storm Barry, located near the mouth of the Mississippi River.
On Friday in Brevard County, showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly after 1 p.m. Skies will be partly sunny, with temperature highs near 92 and south winds at 5 to 10 mph.
Chance of precipitation is 60 percent with new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
On Friday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 75. Southwest winds will be around 5 mph, becoming calm in the evening.

Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 102. Light south southeast wind becoming east southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
