Brevard Sheriff’s Agents Arrest Charles Wines in Connection With the Death of Clint Back

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 21-year-old Charles Clinton Wines, Jr. of unincorporated Cocoa for the death of 34-year-old Clint Back.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Commander Dan Singleton, Wines was taken into custody after an arrest warrant was issued by a judge charging him with Manslaughter.

He was taken to the Brevard County Jail where he is being held on a No Bond status.

“The investigation began on May 19, 2019, when deputies responded to the 7000 block of Melaleuca Road at approximately 6:09 p.m., after receiving an emergency call in reference to a person having been shot,” said Commander Singleton.

The victim, Clint Back, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation when completed was presented to the State Attorney’s Office and a judge where it was determined that probable cause existed for the alleged criminal actions of Wines.
